I have a set of o8 Murray boots and the base plate is too wide to use all the space options on liquid force and ronix boards. Is there another option on base plates for my boots or do I have to get a differn't brand of boots for these boards?
Thanks for any input.

As boot construction became smaller and lighter, companies decided to go to a smaller 6" hole pattern. Some companies changed from 8" to 7" some changed from 8" to 6", and some did it in different years, so its not a very clean and easy thing to figure out. For the most part it only effects riders who want to ride all the way out.
Generally speaking, any 07 and older boot will fit with any 07 and older board and pretty much any 09 board will fit with any 09 boot I think.

May be a good thing to cover in an article or in the buyers guide somewhere. I'm guessing we'll see less and less confusion after this transition is a couple years behind us.

Thanks for the help. I like a more narrow stance but the boots only fit in one place, using the first and last hole.

I've only seen that issue with LF boards and 8" boots because LF put less inserts into the board last year. I believe there are 3 inserts on the outsides instead of 4 right? Not sure if we'll see more of that in 2010 or not.

LF makes an adapter that possibly will work. I have 09 Lyman and use the 07 Transits. They work but only align in the widest set up witch if fine with me.

Do you know if the 09 Murrays are 6 or 8 inch? My 08's are 8 inch.

Roy,

The 2009 Murrays are still gonna use the 8" spread. Hyperlite didn't switch to 6" until 2010.
