# blue drain plugs on a 5.7 merc

Can anyone tell me how many blue drain plugs I should have on a 5.7 merc (carb). I think I have 4 one on each manifold and one on each side of the block. Am I correct or have I missed one?

Mine had 6. One on the seawater pump, and one on the oil cooler in addition to the 4 you mentioned.

on my 98, there were 5.

The 4 you mention, then one on the fuel pump
cooler - passenger side, down low on a hose
off the main engine block.

Mine has 6. There should be on on each manifold. Then, one on each side of the block. One on the fuel cooler, and one off of a hose from the seawater pump.
