City Of Monroe, WA Council Meeting -Cable Park

The Meeting is tonight.

Hey Northwest Wakeboarding community - There might be cable park coming to Monroe, Washington and we need the support of ALL wakeboarders. Go to the meeting in Monroe if possible and if not, post on Grizzly Guys or the Hyperlite Wake MFG. wall and give your opinion about a wake park coming to town.

So I went to the Monroe Council Meeting last night to hear them discuss the proposal for the wakeboard cable park on Lake Tye. It was received with much enthusiasm by the members of the board however there are some neighborhood residents that are not so convinced yet. This park is necessary. As watersports enthusiasts and families seeking more summer activities available (especially for those who do not own boats) we have an opportunity to speak up right now. Next Tuesday (I think that's the 18th?) at 7:00pm there will be an open meeting for the community to speak in favor of or against the proposal. You can learn more by reviewing past articles in the Everett Herald or Monroe Monitor newspapers-- or simply search online to learn what cable parks are. The council members are very easy to talk to and NEED people's feedback as they are not accustomed to wakeboarding. You may also write in to the board expressing what a cable park could do for the community and for our families! Thanks- Riley Poor

the second council meeting is tomorrow night for residents to come support the proposal for the cable park! Monroe Town Hall at 7:00 pm. We're in serious need of local support.

Looks like they are moving forward with the investigative part of the project. They post info on there fb page every so often.

H30 is giving their official proposal to the city. Please come if you're local. Attendance and community participation is vital to the success of the cable park.

the proposal went great. H30 gave a detailed presentation that, I feel, covered every important concern made by the public.

Looks like the Northwest is going to be home to a new cable park next year. It just passed a final round of voting to approve the resolution for the lease agreement in Monroe on Lake Tye. We have the PWT coming in a couple weeks so this is great timing to get everyone buzzing about it!
