I am helping a friend out on their stereo install. It is 01 Sanger. I unhooked everything, installed the goods, and hooked the battery back up. I heard a little pop. And no power. I tried to reset the breaker. Did something blow?

Also, I have never messed with this odd dual battery setup. I have (1) 12v and (4) 6v in mine. But this boat, I don’t understand. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

Best guess is you blew the 90 amp fuse above the starter

If the breaker will not reset you could have either a bad breaker of most likely a short to ground causing the breaker to trip as soon as you try to reset it. Most things I've seen, they will trip so fast that you wouldn't even notice they reset.

I am with h20king - 90 amp fuse above starter. Have you tried the obvious and remove what you installed? Go back to the basics as much as possible first.

The small battery has a Cap hooked to it, it was probably added for stereo use as the cap should help with consistent voltage to the amps.

The little round Stinger thing is not a cap. Its a 200 amp solenoid for isolating the batteries.
