I have the same question as you. I hooked up the 2 kicker tower speaker 250rms each, and 1 sx 500.2 amp without thinking about how i was gonna indapendantly controll the existing speakers int he boat that runn off the head unit amp.

Would be extremly helpfull if you answered this question.

Try using a PAC LC-1 line controller between the deck and amps

You should be able to use your fader control on the deck. Just make sure that the amp for the tower is hooked up to either the front or rear preamp output by itself.

i reccomend using the controller as jason describes. it works great... you can put one for the interior speakers and one for the tower speakers if they are amped (i believe).

Like Jason said. I have 3 PAC LC-1's on my system. One for the sub, one for boat speakers, and one for the tower. Works great. I don't touch the deck or remote all day.

I was using the pac lc1 on my old boat. On the new boat I added a pre-amp/eq/line driver I use the fader to fade between the boat and the tower, it works great. For only a few bucks more than the PAC it adds lots of control not to mention boosting the line signal as needed to run 4 amps.
