I have a pair of LF Ultras, my concern is that when I go w2w or just land hard, my front foot slides out the front of my bindings past the balls of my feet. Is this normal, is this dangerous, and is there anything I can do about it?

NO, YES, and get a smaller pair.

You can tighten the overlay by taking apart the binding and moving the overlay(s) to the next row of holes, unless they have already been tightened all the way previously.

That used to happen to me when I had the 3060 bindings. I quit using soap/shaving cream to get into my bindings because it scared me so bad (I thought it was happening because the soap wasn't rinsing off enough). I never had a serious injury, but I'm sure you can easily break an ankle doing that.
