I've been going back and forth with my self on this but i was wondering where the best location for the subwoofers would be that I want to put on my boat. I could cut out a hole under my driver side dash in a 3/4" board that is already there to make the front storage compartment and would fit under there great, but would it sound good? or should i just build a box and put it in the engine compartment by the batteries. either way they will fit, just wondering what sounds best!

I wouldn't imagine putting a subwoofer in the engine compartment would sound good. The engine compartment is made to muffle sound by design. If those are your two options, don't choose that one.
