Where to find Fiberglass swim platform

Where is a good place to find a new or used fiberglass swim platform for a 04 X-10.

We Just purchased a 04 X-10 with a teak platform in bad condition. We would like to find a fiberglass one to replace it.

Is it broke or does it just look like $h|t ? If the wood just looks crappy you can refinish it and make it look damn near brand new it's not hard to do I had to do it on an older boat I had

I guess it is not in that bad of shape, it just looks really fadded. The best route to go would be to refinish it, correct. It looks like my nephew has already asked the right question. Is there somewhere that gives the step on refinishing. Like grit of sand paper and the oils and treatments?

I didn't even sand mine down I just cleaned really good let it dry and applied the teak oil i haven't had to sand one yet so I'm not sure about what grit to use

You will forever be sanding & re-oiling a teak swimstep every year for the life of your boat to keep it looking good. And if you keep the boat on the water in the summer, or even outside in the sunshine, the teak will get bleached even worse.

I've got a teak swimstep on the vRide I just bought & will be upgrading it somehow. Thinking about rhino-liner or some other truck bed coating. I've read numerous people do this successfully. And I happen to have an MC205 swimstep sitting in my garage ready to have this tested out.

No bones about it, teak looks great when it's nicely oiled. But my boats have typically lived on the water for months at a time in the summer. And teak looks like hell a week after it's been oiled living on the water.

Rather than oiling your teak on a regular basis. I was recommended to use Sikkens from an MC dealer. That is what they were using on their team boats for the ski/wakeboard team. Stands up to some rough abuse.

Little expensive, but worth every penny as I only do it once a year at the beginning and it stays looking polished all year. Also have a great color (natural teak) Looks very sharp IMO. Just make sure you get the silica add on to add to it for grip. It doesn't harm the board/ski at all, but without the grit it can be slick on your bare feet. Simple process no harder than acually teaking

Bill, I've seen many people Rhino-Line their teak platforms and and I have yet to see one that didn't look good I Rhino-Lined the fiberglass platform on my Supra and I absolutely love it it doesn't get scratched up and it's pretty much a no brainer to maintain . . . Btw if you Rhino-Line your platform make sure you line the entire thing top and bottom or water will get in and cause some problems
