Thats only about 26 hours per season. I'd be a bit concerned about things that deteriorate with non use: Rust in cyllinders etc.
Also, make sure that the annual service has been done even though they didn't use this boat much.

I would go with the Super Air

What is the difference?

v-drive compared to direct drive... more ballast, better wake stock for stock, super air is newer

That is quite a difference. Thanks for your help.

do some research on wakeworld... check out the boats link and read some comments by riders. The difference will become very apparent

Damn Wakeman, what did you do to your dad?

2 months of go you were fighting for him to buy an old 2001 nautique for $6500. Now you have him interested in a super air? Good job.

no leo but he is really not going for the 2001 nautique. So I have been looking at other boats hoping that if maybe I can make enough money for boat payments and with some help from my parents I could get a older natique[I am pretty sure anything pre 90s is to old to them]. I was also thinking about adding some fat sacs to our 17.5 ft bayliner { since there is usually only 2 people in the boat]. I had to show my dad an instructional video that said in black and white that you need to weight the boat evenly for him to believe me[so that shows what I am up against]. My mom is the one that realizes that I can only do so much behind our boat and everything I do is going to be harder. My dad thinks you can do about any trick behind our boat. I have been taking lesson behind a super air nautique which has helped so much. I just love wakeboarding so much. It is so awsome. Everytime you land a new trick you feel like so great. When I landed my backroll the first time I was so stoked for days I went around saying I landed a backroll I actually did it. Whenever I am about to go ride the whole day up until its time I am shaking from excitement. I am so glad I found this sport.

Wakeman that is a good deal on the SUper air. I have a 1999 super air and love it. it only had 154 hours and engine was and is in great shape. If you can jump on it. IMO best wake with out having to sack the f out of your boat.

Also you could use that super air for 2 years and sell it for about 27 or 28. So you really arent losing money. correct craft holds the resale value

28 is cheap for an 01 jump on that if you can

Wakeman, you dont have to tell me why this sport is so great. I understand where you are coming from, we used to ride behind a fishing boat. My dad has never paid more than $6000 for a vehicle, so buying brand new malibu was a huge shock to me. I guess he understood. Five years later, I would say that the boat has helped progress my riding a lot. I still go out on I/Os and have actually learned backside 180s on it. So don't count the I/O out yet.

I know I was out today trying to land backrolls behind it which I can land consistently behind a san. I thought you had a 2001 sn not a malibu.

I have both. The malibu is my dad's, the 2001 is my moms.

My friend had an I/O before hurricane katrina. I learned my first backside spins on that boat with no ballast except for 100lbs of sand and 4 people. We could also do all the trip flips behind it.
