help with 2010 x-star tower dimensions

ordered a surf/wake rack for dad and tried a 2 and 7/8" clamp and it was too small. does any one know the diameter of the tower?? Kind of bummed, really wanted it to work. THis is the tube by the bimini that i am referring to.

i can measure mine tomorrow for ya.. but it's not going to look very good on that down tube... Pick up a Z5 bimini.. it holds 3 surfboards on top...
