I've had my current setup for one year and while I would never get rid of my tower speakers I am very tired of having people hit their heads on them. Where they currently are is directly over where most people sit in my 22ssv. I was thinking of moving them to the next bar forward but I was curious if any one has that set up that I could look at before I start messing with it.

Your other bar looks to be about a foot farther forward. Is that going to make that much of a difference? Still the same distance from the centerline and if it anything it looks to be just a hair lower. Doesn't look like its gonna help from the picture. Doesn't seem worth it. Your going to have to fish wires to the new location and your going to leave a couple large holes in the tower where the speakers used to be. I'd vote no.

My outside speakers are on the front bar. It allows them to be moved further to the side of the boat but it's going to put them more over the seating area which sounded like your issue.

Aside from looking stupid IMO, you could always flip them over and mount them on the top side. Just drill a hole on the top of the bar, fish your wire through it, and your clamp will cover your old wire hole too. That's about the only way to gain any sort of head room without going to a smaller speaker.

That's tough.
If you move them from the rear 2.375" tube to the front 1.875" tube, which is almost 2" lower, then are they forward enough to be more out of the traffic pattern and compensate for the lower mounting?
And if you move them forward will you now have a conflict with the hard cargo top?
