I am looking for a prop that will give more hole shot power without sacrificing fuel consumption..Any ideas? I have an 05 Wakesetter VLX with stock ballast but a run a 400 sac up in the bow. normally have 3-5 people in the boat...

Try the Acme 1235. I am running it on my 2007 VLX, and It works like a dream. Better hole shot, better fuel economy, less strain on the engine. It does run at slightly higher rpms, but the fuel usage is actually less than with the stock 537.

Blew mine this weekend at Shasta. Where is the best place (best deal) to pick up a 1235?

Buzz--You don't know Gid(whazzup)? We have gone riding several times...I thought you knew him too! He's a cool dude if there's nobody else to hang out with, and ALL of your other options have been eliminated .....His shop number (I can't remember the name) is 661-257-4254.

As far as coming down, I'm off on the weekends still, but as you know I've been stuck in the domestic "bear trap" with no foreseeable end in sight. My free time is being eaten up by t-ball, trips to chuck-e-cheese and the like............I'll call you Sunday afternoon to set up a day!

Peter is right, get the 1235. I put it on my VLX at the begining of the season and it is awesome. Shop around because they are pricey.

We put the 1235 on our '06 VLX, made a HUGE difference.

The group buy on the themalibucrew.com is over for the ACME but they are still doing it for the OJ props. I put on the OJ 475 and it made a huge difference - hole shot, holding speed and turning were all improved over the stock prop on my VLX...

We have the 1235 on our 2005 VLX. We like it a lot but we also run up to 3200 lbs. of ballast so we need it. If you don't want to lose top end speed and see your gas gauge moving in front of your eyes check out the Acme 857. It will be an upgrade from the stock 537. The 857 wont limit you as far as top end speed and since you don't ride with over 2000lbs. of ballast it would work great. We have both in stock and we price match.

Malibu V-Drive Props

Thanks,
Spencer
