I was wondering about this, I want to tint my windshield but the guy at the tint shop told me the last boat he did they ripped off quick b/c the sun reflected off the water to the tint so bad they couldnt see out very well... Is this true? If not, what percent is your tint so I can get some??

Thanks in advance!

do a search here. There are a TON of threads identical to yours with pix of tinted boats.

I have 5% on mine, it can be a little hard to see out of at times, but I stand up to drive most of the time so I can see any debris in the river. I did that before I had the tint though. Here's a before and after

i did a 25% tint and it is not very dark. You can see out of it fine. I will probably go a bit darker next time...Upload

pete, that boat was sharp looking without the tint...now anyone who sits to drive (like those darned skyskiers) you can't see. OH, you know what would really set it off? A HAMMOCK!!!

diggs boat looks cool...much cooler then Pete's

Wade, go home you lurker.

Brandon, what Pete says is true. I have driven Pete's boat quite a few times on days when there is no debris out. Up to the early stages of sunset, you can see just fine - so I sit. Once dusk starts to take over it is hard to see out of.

In terms of overall looks, darker is better in my opinion. The before and after above are all that need to be said on this subject.

I've been in Pete's boat and can say even though he has it kinda dark to see through it really makes the boat stand out with the tint.

I had never thought of tinting a boat before I saw Pete's. It can really change the overall look of a boat.

Chase, tint/no tint, debris/no debris, light/dusk, it doesn't matter. Your driving still sucks.
