I wakesurfed behind a 63' Hattaras Sport Fisherman about 20 years ago and it was by far the largest thing I've ever seen produced by a boat that had good shape, problably not what your looking for but it was about 5-6' tall and clean.

Now for wakeboard boats, that could open up a can of worms. I know a 22V with 600lb of lead, 1000lb factory ballast, a few guys over 250lbs and a half dozen mortals is rather intimidating.

Tige 21 V with the weight in just the right places can be insane.

Rode a Malibu Wakesetter in competition that was BIG!

I too have ridden some huge direct drive wakes, but I'm thinking we were on the verge on sinking the boat.

biggest would be a SAN 210 with 2200 lbs ballast and 5 passengers. So big but SO not the right shape. It was like hitting a wall. Best size and shape was a SSV with 1800 lbs ballast.

Cobalt 190 with 6 saline ballast bags and a lot of beer.

Maybe not so scary....but pretty fun.

I own a Tige 21 V Riders edition and I love the wake size when we get the people and fat sacs set just right.

My favorite shape wake would have to be the wake the new X-stars are throwing. It kinda feels like you hitting a double up everytime.

I just purchased a Sanger V-215 and I went out riding two weeks ago for the first time. I filled up all three ballast tanks and had 3 people in the boat. The wake was massive and clean. I'm very please with my boat.

ya they have a different prop on there to and it isn't that bad out of the hole. it definetly takes a skilled driver not to dig that boat a watery grave!!

Kelley-

How do you distribute the weight in your Tige?

Wake size is normally something people have different opinions about, and I am a malibu fan for sure, but I rode behind the new X-star, and the wake was a monster. It must have been almost twice as big as any other boat. I rode 75 feet out at 25 mph, and i was getting about 8 feet high everytime without a double up. I just didn't like the shape, it was really long and too rampy. Freakin huge wake though.

Obviously it all depends on the number of people, but something like 40 % in front and 60% in back.

Ideally you have a fat sac in each rear locker and a fat sac or other weight up at the nose. Then we just try to keep the people near the center cockpit. If you have more than 3 or 4 people and need some in the back put one in the front for every two that go to the back. Of course you need to keep both sides even, but putting enough weight in the front is crucial with the fat sacs in the back.
