Anybody have any experience with these? Throw on a tower and some weight, turn it into a wakesetter. I've come across one for sale and any opinions and insight would be really helpful.

I have an 86, I am not sure if they have the same hull or not. I put a tower on mine and so far have fun about 800 pounds and I think it throws a great wake. Mine is in desperate need of a new interior and floor. When I redo the floor, I am going to put the ballast under the floor. Nice roomy boat and so far mine has run well.

Stephen, don't waste your time putting ballast under the floor. There is foam for flotation there. I know because I replaced the floor in my Euro Sunsetter.

Aaron, I own a '92 Sunsetter Euro. The boat is totally tricked out with Monster tower, PP, plumbed for two 500lb sacks next to engine and 350lb sack in locker. The boat throws a nice wake. I have people with newer boats that prefer my wake(or think it's too big). I think the late 80s and early 90s Sunsetters used the same hull, but were just different above the rub rail.

The 89' Sunsetter isn't the same hull design as the 90's model sunsetters or the Wakesetter. With weight properly distributed it can through a nice wake.
