We have had a couple of people drop out of our annual trip. If you think would be interested in coming let me know. It is $750 for the week. Which covers all the food booze and gas. If you have any questions PM me. Right now we have 3 HB's and about 5-6 boats coming. Here's some pics from last year:

Cliff,

If you get a chance, jump on the group page and let us know what time you are heading out, where we are going to meet, etc. Where are you renting your HB? Feel free just to give me a call too.

Getting really close now. I am starting to itch!

Hey guys and gals:

I have bad news, I won't be making it to this gathering and am very upset about it. My houseboat broke down on me over Memorial Day and we can't get back there in time to get it fixed for this gathering. The throttle and steering cable broke on me and I had to be towed back to my slip. I also might have a head gasket problem. Bummed.....bummed....bummed. Sucks cause it will cost a lot of money to get fixed and I hope it is ready soon.

Kimmy,

Really a bummer. Sorry to hear it. Was looking forward to meeting you. Hopefully you at least enjoyed your holiday weekend before the breakdown.

Joe, Steve,

Bummer

Sorry, can't loan something I have NONE of! Let's plan on hitting the lake after I get back.

WOO-HOO! Change of plans I am coming and I will be there from Tuesday June 10th to the 16th. But I can't drive my HB, but my resort is nice enough to pull me out of my slip across the way from Silverthorn. So with that said maybe you guys can take a ride over to my HB and hang out for awhile.

But I have to teach a group of kids tomorrow and I have a full schedule during the week cause we are headed up to Lake Powell for BroStock. One of our riders that I sponsor is riding in the Double Up competition, so we are going to support him.

..Yo Cliff - we departed Jones Valley @ 11:00am on Friday, Had some issues with the houseboat, but was rectified at the dock. I belive I passed WES going NORTH bound on HWY-5 on my way out.

I also was passed by a Ford Excursion pulling a X-45 or X-80 with a BATMAN logo on the side of the boat,

Anyway we had a awesome time, weather SUCKED all week, but the water was like butta, Oh yeah - Kimmy I added some new decals on your back window of your house boat, How much are you asking for the boat by the way??????

We RECKED Silverthorn Thursday night at the bar.

We were up the Sqaw, all the way at the end. I like it almost as much as the Pit. The only downside is the best riding spots are kind off blind as you come around the corners. The plus side vs the Pit is you don't have to go nearly as far up the arm to get good water.

Just got back. I will get through the 2000 pictures we all took tomorrow. I will be sure to put up some that are allowed on this site

Cliff...It was nice to get to hang out. Definitely need to do it again some time. Let us know when the wife lets you off the leash again!

We are set to go again next year. Already reserved our same boat. We will be there from 6/5 - 6/12. If anyone is interested in going get in touch with us. We may have some space.

Glad you're all home safe and back to warmer weather.

We came back on Monday to 43 degrees and 10" of snow in the local mountains (3000ft). Tomorrow morning will be 48 air with 58 water. Back to the drysuit we go.

Yes, that was all the way up Squaw. However the water is really low so there are a lot of S turns to get back there and they moved the 5 mph zone up. BEWARE, they are enforcing that 5 mph zone! Hope the wind dies down for your trip Tony.

We needed a WakeWorld banner for our houseboat... hint hint...

I'm guessing Little Backbone? The falls are a short hike by foot at the very end of the inlet.
Old     (migitty)      Join Date: Aug 2001       06-25-2008, 11:57 AM Reply
Cliff is correct. That's Little Backbone Cove. It's the middle cove to the right of the Dam. I hiked there last week with four kids. The hike is a little longer because of the low water level but well worth it. There is no shortage of water for the creek. It flows all year regardless of lake level. There are several different ponds and waterfalls you have to hike through before you get to the one with the rope. Much of the water comes from an abandoned copper mine. It’s safe and monitored.

I'll post some pics tonight.
