Nominations for January's Poster of the Month

Ok, we're going to try to do this every month. Give me nominations for who you think contributed the most worthy content to the discussion board in the month of January. Once we get the nominations, we'll take a vote and hand out some prizes. Thanks.

Great idea, although I suspect at times something of a popularity contest will be hard to avoid.

This past month, I've got to give it to somebody on the "Evolution" thread under non-wake discussion. That thing has been SO interesting to watch in it's, er, life.

I'll vote tie between GD and John Anderson. Both are articulate, both are good about researching their stated facts, both tend to be fairly moderate and don't consistently push either extreme along the political/theological continuum, both (very importantly) are able to keep their cool and remain civil when things get heated, and above all both are honest.

I'm sure that the Evolution thread has got some great stuff in it considering it's one of the longest threads ever, but this contest is all about wake content. This is to reward the people that are consistently contributing to our online wake community and making it a better place.

I think the Chick Flick might be the most exciting movie from the standpoint that it brought forward the women riders to a mainstream audience. I think this thread embodies the enthusiasm most of us had for its release.

I'm would lean towards people that post useful information that is relevant to Wakeboarding. No offense to the guys that offer great insight in the political and current event threads.

My vote is for Randy, and NOT just because he is a cool guy to hang out with, he is always there to share his wealth of knowledge with the wakeboarding world.

mainly because he disapeared off the face of the earth after posting more than anyone else.. then he pops up out of the blue anouncing what he had been doing while he was gone

BTW, you could take the poster/posts mentioned and make a poll on the Home Page. Who ever has the most after a certain time period, is the Lucky Winner.

I talked to Betty Bonifay (Parks mom) yesterday and told her about the Parks thread, she thought it was hilarious. She also said he was doing great!

Yes there was. I have proof. The gator got skinned and is on the wall of a local watering hole called "Old Man Franks" on Lake Howard on the chain here in Winter Haven. Whoever shows up for the Central Florida Wakefest April 14th & 15th will get to see it. Parks even put up a signed board next to it...
