board size?

ok looking to get a new board now that my first season is under my belt. I'm currently riding a 139. I am 5'9 185-190lbs. looking at either a 136 or 140 not sure the difference in size will make??

what difference in size will I see, why 140 over 136 or vise versa, I just want to make the correct choice as I want this board to last a couple of seasons...As of right now I wont be able to demo, but they have a great return policy (just like demoing)..

the 140 is just more suited to your size. 136 is a short board. The 140 will land softer and not bog like the 136 will on you. If you were like 165-175lbs then I would say you could go either way.

i'm right in the same weight range as you Kenny, and I ride a 137. It's a little slower than I would like, but other than that I really like the board. I would suggest going around a 140 especially if it's a 3 stage rocker, because they tend to have a little more drag on the water as compared to a continous or progressive rocker, simply because of the larger flat spot in the center of the board.

Looking at parks Bio/DNA maybe Motive, still looking at CWB Pure...
As much info as you guys can give me would be great.. Looking to grow(getting better) into board not to paek and need new right away.
