Step 1, she said yes!

Step 2, she's down to have a reception somewhere on a lake, with a heavy emphasis on boating...looks like I found the right girl!

We are thinking Dale Hollow, as we live in indiana, and it's not that far. But we're still open to suggestions, we just started thinking about doing it this way a couple of days ago. The idea being, get a campground where we can reserve all of the cabins for our friends and relatives, roughly 100 or so.

Has anyone here gotten hitched in a similar setting? any words of advice as far as location, food, entertainment etc???

Thanks in advance, I want to do this thing right!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

Only tangentially related, and not to hijack - but this is how I brought my best friend and his new wife into their wedding reception last year.

I'm driving the boat in a Tux. The Bride's in her veil, the Groom, my best friend, is wearing the Helium Tuxedo vest. Don't make fun of the decorations on my boat:

Nice, me and my fiance took our engagement pics out on the Delta. They came out badass! Had our wakeboards in some of the pics too.

Also, I'm wondering if there is anything south of Dale Hollow in case we have to go later in the season.

Jack that wasn't me riding, nor my wife - but his.

I was driving the heavily decorated Super Air Nautique. I was responsible for pulling them across an area where everyone could see them coming in, then they could excitedly collect on the lawn, and I'd take a close path in and drop them into their reception. Thinking back it was probably one of the coolest things I've ever gotten to do with my boat.

There are plenty of other good spots south of Dale Hollow in TN. I'm in Chattanooga so let me know if you need further info.

Chickamauga, Nickajack, Parksville, the list goes on and on.
