Hey Doug, The principal mule during the day was Ed's Outback. On that we used two 600 pound sacks filled to about 450-500 pounds each. Placed behind and beside the engine compartment. The SSV had the 3 bag "gravity games" (?) system. The owner loaded up the one tank that was being surfed on and set the initial speed at "13.5". That speed was gradually lowered to about "11.5" as no one could keep up. There were...shoot, 9 people onboard? I've lost track. The wake was way too steep and needed that extra speed to provide any pocket length. In the configuration listed above the wake was almost vertical. We didn't have a chance to fiddle with it, but with that many people it needs some weight in the bow. Either moving about 30% of the folks up front or add some ballast to the bag in the bow. I think the rear bag filled, 4 people on the side and speed at about 9.5-10.5mph would have a nice wake on that boat.
