envy might be a better word than hate.

but while i might envy extraordinary riding water and access to everything wake i am grateful for that envy.

i don't have to feel so bad about my shallow bag of tricks and i can take a little more pride in my riding level knowing that i only get to ride about 20-30 times a year vs. 200-300 times a year.

now i know wakeboarding is not about being better than the next guy, and that is just the natural man speaking out, but i will reserve any dignity i can . Wake is all about having fun and being one with the board and your surroundings (namely the water). For ME, there is no better place to feel that "one-ness" than Lake Powell, even if it means often choppy water, less time, and less comfortable temps during half the year.

California spring, Snowboard today, wake tomorrow!

Only mountains in FL are those huge mountains of trash off the turnpike!

Y'all wouldn't like it anyway.

Nasty salt water.

Stay up North. Everything is better up North.

That is why God invented sisters in Denver with a mountain house and frequent flyer miles.

Our single axle trailers with 6 year old tires tells a lot about us. A huge Florida +++ is the number of riders that can be on the water within minutes...and butter at that with no third or stupid flags. Riding is never some "event" that needs to be planned.

A few mountains would sweeten the view but our mountains will never hold snow even if they grow to 12,000 feet.

Not gonna lie, I totally miss the Sunshine state. I love Portland, Maine with all my heart but you can't really top the weather in FL.

Well this sucks. i will not be getting my usual lift for the summer. Yesterday I didn't ride because I couldn't get my lazy ass to deal with trailering the boat a 1/2 mile to the ramp, paying 8 dollars then loading the whole thing up again later. Sucks. Man I need to find another lift, I knew I should have bought waterfront when I had the chance.
