I have heard a lot of people complain about jamming their toes in closed toe bindings and I was wondering if that happens when bindings are too big or when they are too small or both. I want to get some Ronix closed toe bindings and I wear a size 12.5, so if I get the size 12 it will probably be really tight and if I get the 13-14 it will be a little loose, what do you guys think are the drawbacks for me to get them too tight? And what about too loose?
Thanks

Get a 12 and have them molded at your shop. They'll use a toe piece to mold them and they'll fit.

There are a few other post that talk about toes jamming in closed toes. You might want to just go read them. Obviously there are people who have jammed their toes but the majority hasnt. I have never jammed my toes in my shanes. I dont know why people are jamming their toes it is still up for debate at the moment.

I suggest goin as small as possible where they are still comfortable. If you want them big then get big. It all comes down to what is comfortable to you.

Distance runners deal with this problem all the time. A friend who runs Marathons has lost his big toe nails numerous times, some people say get the shoes bigger to give toes room, others say to get small shoes so toes can't move, my friend says neither way works. He often cut the toes out of shoes so he can finish training and run a race. Why hassle with close toes in wakeboard boots?

Everyone's feet are shaped a bit differently. So in the end, people's opinions on how their feet fit a certain binding dont really mean all that much, especially if they guessed at the correct size when ordering them online.

Take what you read here as a general guide, and nothing more. If a ton of people are complaining about quality or fit, then that's one thing. But if you only hear a few people say something once in a while I wouldn't put too much weight on it IMO. I don't remember there ever being a huge fuss about how any of the closed toe bindings fit, but I may be wrong?

Toes crunched against the end of the binding is a sign of a binding that may be too small. If the toes move forward and smash against the front of the binding, then the binding may be too big.
