I was out last weekend in my 07 Supra 21v and all of the sudden I was having a hard time planing. The RPMs still seam to come up at the same rate, but it takes so long to get up to speed. I checked the prop, the wake plate, and all was well. Any ideas?

have you had the boat out before and performed fine?
was it weighted? Where was the weight and how much?
wakeplate down?
do you have the wakeboard prop?
Some of these questions might help us diagnose

Is it possible you have it set at a very low speed?

funny thing david is i watched this happen somewhere. family tells dealership boat dont' run right. dealership goes out with family to do a test and watches family back the boat in that water, and unhook the trailer from the vehicle and take off. just about fell over laughing.

You may have a blockage in you water intake to the engine. I was told by a boat mechanic that the new engines will try to compensate with a higher RPM. Did the engine temp guage get +180? If you got a new 07 I would definately be saying HELLO DEALER!

Yeah perfect pass is on, but it takes about 38 seconds to get to 23mph. Usually it takes about 20. I have the wakeprop the wakeplate is down and I do have weight in it, but less than usual. Also my boat is still not attached to the trailer.
hahahahahaha

something is definitely wrong... check your prop and make sure you really have the wakeboard prop... we used to run about 2400lbs plus people and could get on plane quick and easy once we got the wakeboard prop....

Another possibility. Transmission could be slipping. Check the fluid level. Our transmissions use hydraulic pressure to engage the clutches much like an automatic transmission in a car. If the fluid is low and it cant build pressure, The clutches wont fully engage and will slip; quickly wearing them out. I concur with others though, take it to the stealer and let them sort it out.

The thing is it happened all of the sudden, One run was fine then the next we were barely getting out of the water. I checked the prop, it looks great. is there a way to check the intake? I just have it at the lake and it is a long drive to the dealer.

have you contacted your dealer? Do they know you are having problems? Does it take as long with the PP off?
