Same cans I have, they are actually really light, fairly thin aluminum. Interesting to see them with Monster clamps.

Why so long to remove those two?? Looks like you need a snap-on mini screwdriver about an inch tall.

That'll give you a 2 Ohm load on your amp..

No, according to the MTX manual, that amp is not stable at 2ohms in bridged mode. You'll fry the amp. This would give you ~100 watts RMS total -- or 50 watts per speaker.. You can wire them normally (not bridged) but you're still going to get 50 watts per speaker.

hmm, then how is it possible to get 100 watts x 2 into a 2 ohm load as the manual says you can. Would this require different a different speaker setup or what ?

The amp is a two-channel amp. Your rating go as follow: Probly 50 x 2 @ 4 ohms 100 x 2 @ 2 ohms and Probly 200 X 1 at 4 ohm The amp is probly only 4 ohm stable in mono configuration. If you want your amp to see 2 ohms stereo then you need to add two more speakers. Clint- You could have removed the whole window as one and saved yourself a bunch of time, instead of turning the srewdriver about a 1/16 of a turn each time. How do I know this? I used to own an older Malibu with the speaker mounts like this. Then I found the eaiser way to do it.

The manual says "100 Watts x 2 into a 2 Ohm Load" That'd look like either of these: to maximize that amp, you may want to do this: (this way, each speaker will still see 50 Watts of power, but you'll have 4 speakers seeing 50 watts, verse just two seeing 50 Watts - so the volume should double..?..) alright, well the plan is to eventually have 4 tower speakers so it is good to know that I can get the same out of this amp with 4 as it will be with the 2 for now. Thanks for the info. Gonna be a few weeks till I get a chance to finish everything up, rain this last weekend really slowed us down.
