I noticed while under the boat the other day oil was leaking down the inside of the tire. Any idea what might be the problem? It is a boatmate trailer.

Most likely a failed inside grease or oil seal...do you have grease or oil bath hubs?

If it's an axle with brakes, it could be brake fluid from a leaking wheel cylinder or caliper. Try washing it off with just water, if it does, it's probably brake fluid, if not, it's oil or grease.

Check the allen head oil fill screw on the hub assembly. I have had these back out and leak fluid on several occasions.
