Pops let me steal his cheap little Sony since I'm all gimpy (ACL), so that I could start doing some filming. I made it out to the lake yesterday with two of my buddies and after 30 minutes of footy on a DVD-RW and 2 or 3 hours of editing in movie maker while I should have been working ;) ... I produced my first edit. I'd really like to get decent at this so constructive criticism is welcomed. Enjoy:

Looks good man. The beginning looks really legit, get some chaseboat shots and you'll have a cool little video on a budget!

Nice edit. You asked for constructive criticism... for me it had too much slow-mo. Film more and get more tricks in there. You started the 1st rider out straight to back-roll, might be cool to see his trick progression... my $0.02

Sweet vid. The only thing I have to critique is your positioning in the boat. Find a place to film from that reduces the amount of water that can be seen coming off the boat...otherwise keep it up!

two and a half minutes in there had only been like 5 tricks... speed it up! but looked good other than that, just pick up the pace on the clips

Luker. Nice video. I really like the fast motion- drive to the launch. I always enjoy seeing what other lakes are like. Also you put in "good" tricks only and did not waste time/tricks.

I agree with the other suggestions to get a few more tricks in, it dragged a little bit.

Finally, i noticed that some shots were off the tripod. If you're going to use the tripod, you need to "level" it once the boat is on plane at riding speed, that way you will get a level shot as you pan side to side. I noticed a few shots that the angle would change/tilt as you panned from side to side.

Otherwise, nice work, and you used a song from my favorite band.

manchester is the most played band on our boat...loved them! excellent song choice

my criticism is positioning on the boat as well, a little to much water spray in some of the shots...great vid though, when it finished i watched it again
