is it possible to do brief, tiny raley-type grabs (or slightly off-axis grabs) behind a sea-doo? For example, a tilted indy or a miniature batwing.

you dont get alot of air but i can envision doing the trick if i had some instruction. thanks for any thoughts on this issue.

Not trying to give you grief, but sell the seadoo and spend that money on a used (cheap) i/o, youll get a wake to work with.

I would think it's possible, I have landed a bel air with no rope in hand.

I've seen it done, but anything more than just a slight tweek is gonna be really really difficult. It seems like there would be pretty much no room at all for error.

I've landed plenty o'raley's, rolls and spins behind footin outboards without extended pylons or towers...practice,practice,practice!!

increase the edge, load the line, and don't look back.
Work with what you've got for the love of it.

H Yule,
I have the same situation that you do, and it is possible to do things like a titled indy, but theres not alot of air to work with obviously. Last summer I remember someone had a forum about doing tantrums behind a seadoo and they were able to do it. It also helps if you have someone with some weight sitting on the back of the seadoo (call it "ballast" hahaha) to make somewhat of a bigger wake. When your riding behind a seadoo, any kind of weight helps.

I saw a video on youtube yesterday of a guy doin' tantrums behind what looked like a john boat. Had an outboard motor with the handle slash throttle attached. Looked for it later to show my wife and was unable to find it again.

if you are darin shapiro you can do raleys in the flats with the stanford rowing team towing you.

i guess what i'm trying to say is load that line and anything is possible.
