Phil very seldom gets on Wakeworld, thought I would share his video. He is currently healing from a bone graft to repair a non-union fracture of the scaphoid bone in his right wrist. Going on 5 months. http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php/2006-Highlights_wakeboarding-photos.html?medid=20781

Awesome video. The Aslingers are really nice people, and Phil is an awesome rider, especially at his age.

Randy, We don't think the injury was wakeboard related but we're not 100% sure how it happened, the problem was that it was broken (hairline) and then didn't heal back (non-union) resulting in a gap. He wake boarded all last season knowing that he was going to have surgery after worlds. The scaphoid bone is very hard to heal due to low blood flow in the wrist. Success rate from grafts is around 80%. The doctor is seeing progress and thinks 1-2 months it will be 100%. Hopefully in time for the opener, but practice may be limited.
