I'm looking at buying a mastercraft x80. I will be new to the inboard scene. I currently own a 280 formula bowrider and love it, but would like to start wakesurfing. The reason I'm looking at the x80 is due to us boating on a large lake with a lot of big waves being thrown on the main lake(want something safe for kids). Im not looking at becoming a pro rider, just want to have fun with the family and do some cruising around. lDoes anyone own one and if so, how does it ride etc? Thanks for any info.

I'm sure others will say and or recommend something smaller and a little more versatile. that thing is huge and in my eyes an over kill.
sorry I have no good input on the x80 other than its huge and a ton of space.

You need to reach out to the crew from Brigade Wakesurfing. They were on Lake Powell a couple of weeks ago. They were doing a photo shoot behind an X-80 with dual switchblades. I talked to the Witherall brothers who said the boat had an awesome surf wake.
