Has anyone had a manual wedge swapped out for a power wedge. I've had trouble getting my manual wedge up and down because the pins are about a 1/16 of an inch off and somebody usually has to get in the water to get enough torque on it to get the pins in. The power wedge seems more substantial and can be used in a variety of positions (which other posters to WW seem to like a lot better). The shop where I get my work done said they would look into it. Any experiences with this?

Power Wedge is only installed at the factory.

Yeah, it's not an option to swap them out. You either order the boat with the Power Wedge or you don't get no Power Wedge! :-) Sounds like you need to get your dealer to fix the alignment on your current Wedge. It shouldn't be hard to put up and down like that.

The new 07 manual wedge only locks in the up position. So far it has worked very well for me.

I bet if you were in tight with your dealer, you could have something worked out

I have a great dealer, but he is too honest in dealings with malibu, which is part of the reason it is a great shop.

I suppose that the dealer would have to be in tight with Malibu, also.

Yeah, my dealer just changed GMs, so the goodwill I had built up in that relationship may be gone, but they've been pretty straight with me so I have hope that we'll at least get the one I have working properly. I checked out the Malibu website and they show photos of the redesigned manual wedge that "floats" in the down position. How does that work?
