Hey guys im currently riding some old school CWB torqs and im ready to get rid of that stuff and have got a few questions:

- Ronix scout bindings -- they seem to be pretty good although i don't really like how they look i think im gonna pick em up cuz there cheap. I have a size 10 foot so im assuming size 10 bindings will be good? also any comments on the bindings would be great.

- will they fit on my 04 absolute?

-also im about 175 and ride a absolute platinum 134. looking at buying at another board. possibly a ronix one or a new absolute. Will a 142 or 141 be too big or just right?

Thanks for the the help!
-Ross

Not much help here, but the bindings should fit on your absolute and a 141 sounds like it would work out fine.

I appreciate the help man...one more question for anyone interested in helping.

-just found two great prices on a 143 Ronix Covin and 142 Ronix One. I'm not hell bent on Ronix but found both of these for wayy cheaper than the absolutes. suggestion, opinions, comments or whatever is appreciated as to my decision for the board. I don't know if ill have time to demo them so im all ears

I've rode the scouts and they're alright, a little too flexy for me though. I currently ride a 143 Covin and a 142 slingshot response, and both are awesome boards. The one is supposed to be a little flexier than the covin, but I love the way the covin rides, I'd say you couldn't go wrong with it! I have heard stories of the one breaking pretty easy, and less stories of the covin snapping. I can't comment on that one way or the other since mine is holding up fine right now I pretty much ride it exclusively at cable parks right now.

Screw the Scouts, buy some Ronix Cells! Comfy as all hell

And they look much better than that ugly brown anyday.

If money is an issue, then I would invest in a nice pair of bindings first. The board you have is a great shape and alot of people swear by them. Changing from older Torq's to better bindings will give you more comfort, support and control. Then invest in a different board, unless yours is too small for you, then buy a board first. You could consider the Kink which is essentially the newer Absolute shape with the rocker line mellowed out a little bit. You can also look at last year's gear. I always buy a year behind because from year to year, the board companies the change colors or graphics and will only change shapes every 3-4 years or so.

I have a pair of the Scout bindings and have had no problems outta them at all. They are extremely comfortable but have some flex in them that not everyone likes. The One board has a ton of pop but the Covin is a very fast board that will take you way out in the flats. Personally I would pick up the One board with a pair of One bindings. The Cell binding is way too stiff for me. Ive ridden the Ibex and love it. Its everything the reviews say and more. Def. worth the $$$$$
