Mark, I assume by the course in the background you might do some skiing? How deep can you go before the rope starts hitting that tour? 22' off?

Great looking boat, colors look fantastic!

I don't even ski but for some reason I just think that is one of the best looking boats in the Malibu lineup. Congrats! What a great pic too.

Thanks for the comments guys. I've been a long time boarder but recently switched to slalom skiing. I picked up a boat that produces a competitive slalom wake but still allows me to load the ballast and drop the power wedge and rip it up.

I gave Bakes a chance for my business but I ended up with a purchase from Missouri River Marine in Great Falls, MT. They were great to work with. Indoor showroom, boat was spotless upon looking it over prior to purchase. Great price and they met me half way between Seattle and Great Falls.

I used to live on Whidbey. I updated my profile. I'm down on a private lake near Olympia, WA.

The tower has not been a factor for me and I doubt it ever will. But, I have heard that a professional skier might have the rope bump the tower.

That's correct! Ski View Lake in Olympia, WA. There is a house for sale in the community if your interested. Prudential I think.

Mark-interesting community--do you have rules about the hours you can ski, about blaring your tunes and what to do when multiple boats are out there?

How deep is the lake? Is it deep enough to allow for a good wakeboard wake? It looks awesome from the pics.

Most of the community members are hardcore skiers, some professional. Wakeboarding is allowed with some restrictions as long as it's behind a direct drive tournament approved boat. One boat on the lake at a time. Make your three runs up and down and then hang out at the community dock to wait your turn. If your the only one on the lake it's all yours. It has a 1/10 ratio on depth with the center being around 7 feet deep. Sunrise to sunset.

Check out the motocross track just west of the marina. All part of the community. I'm loving it here!

That's the house for sale next door. It's a little much for the neighborhood but it was built for the lake builder's mother. It was listed for $995,000 but has dropped to the $770,000 range. The other homes are more the normal scale, 3 bed, 3 bath. I have one of the smallest homes in the community.

Damn. That house is "only" $770k? Looks like a multi million joint around here - especially on a private lake. Market must be soft up there right now. Great time to buy.

Beautiful boat, that looks like a high swim platform?? I know it's probably designed that way to consider ballast, but still?

wow, I'm jealous. Makes me want to go back to Malibu. :-) Malibu is still the best boat in my eyes. I will go back one day.

I had a dream one day of selling my house in Hawaii (which I did) and making tons of money from the sale (which I did), but moved to AZ with all this cash and no lake or private ski lake that is affordable
