So I just got my Marius and I'm planning on riding it for the first time this weekend. Just wanted to get some opinions on whether I should ride it with or without fins.

without the fins made the board (to me) feel a little less sluggish, i'm not an expert but that is the way I ride my '06 Marius. just be comfortable and have fun!

Yea i agree that it rides sluggish. Bryan did you ride it with the fin to and it wasnt sluggish because i only rode it with the fin off

i started with the fins on at first until i got used to the board, i'm still feelin my way around in the sport, but after taking the fins away i felt a little ballsier with the board and it didn't seem to be as out of control as i thought it would be. if that makes sense, it was easy to tell what the board was going to do. now to me the platinum i rode was way less forgiving.

Hey CWB guys... anyone have some smaller fins than stock for me?

Joe, what size fins are you using? I know they are smaller than my stock ones.

Back to the subject... I like riding it finless however I seem to get more pop when leaving the fins in most likely because my edging technique is not quite perfect!

I like a loose board, but the marius is too loose for me 'finless'. If possible, I'd go with some smaller-than-stock fins.

Cope's might have them? I got mine from HotH2O when they were open. Cope's in Rocklin used to have a box of fins in the back room.

I have one CWB fin that is a .4 or .5 that is much smaller than the stock fins but have not been able to find another anywhere else for the other end of the board. I would love suggestions too.

Hammers went out of business and then HotH2o closed soon after. Just not enough traffic coming in. They do still have Butch's in Woodland and Vacaville though. I am pretty sure the RFC fins will match up to the CWB holes. And you can sand the RFC's easier to match the shape of the board if you need to.

I ride mine with the smaller fins that come with the Absolute. I bet you can get them at any shop that sells CWB.
