I was thinking of installing a front tow hitch so I can trailer my boat and place my dirt bike on the front of my SUV. Does anybody do this and how does it perform?

I have one on my F150 for only pulling boat out of garage, i can back it in just fine but the angle pulling out is awkward. Note i only have 1/2 clearance on each side. Anyhow i love having the hitch on the front.

i don't think you can put stuff in front of your vehicle. Lights, blinkers, lic plate, would have to be visible.

A guy did modify a trailer to tote a hog on the back, behind the boat. I think the boat was a Supra... but can't remember exactly

Years ago, I had dirt bike racks that I could mount to the front bumper/frame of my pickup. They were 2 seperate racks that the tires fit into. IT WORKED GREAT!!!!! It did not interfer with anything other then the license plate, but not a problem as long as the rear plate was visisible.

No front plates in Florida so lights are the only issue.

My neighbor has one on his Dodge. He stores some boats and thinks it is essential if you're trying to park anything. He always tells me to put one on.
