Glad we have it for a few more weeks. Is everyone still planning to protest this weekend?

Great news!!! Sounds like the county knows their butt is on the line here.

Does this mean the protest for Saturday is off now?

I talked to a ranger and you will not get a ticket. You will get arrested.

For staying on the lake after the lake closes.

I spoke with the life gaurds and they said they wouldnt be able to do anything. They would just stay in the water till we were all gone. After all we are fighting for their jobs as well. If it's 200+ boats which is what i heard the number is, they won't be arresting anyone unless they do something stupid/violent.

Chris, (or any one else that may know)

Is the "protest" still on, now that the closing date has been pushed back? If so , what's the plan? Is everyone just going to anchor at the launch ramp area?

Just curious, since I am on the other side of the country, but why is your lake closing? Is it for the season?

JOhn Dreiser,
This thread will give you an idea of what's going on with some lakes in California:

I talked with the lake superintendent today. She said the lake is staying open another three weeks because of the public being opposed to the closing. Are phone calls and e mails are working! We can not stop now! There is still hope!
John
