I've been looking at gekko boats for awhile, and I was wondering if anyone has one, or even ridden behind one, and if they are as nice as their website says they are... thanks!

Dan,
I think they are pretty basic boats from what I've seen at the boat shows. I have a friend who claims they throw a great slalom wake but he was never been behind a Revo. Are you looking at it for wakeboarding or as a cross-over boat? Which model? Not that I'm going to be much help but those are the basic questions others are gonna ask.

more of a crossover deal... wakeboarding is fun but its not gonna be all that I do... i was looking at the revo 6.7.

I haven't been impressed by the ones that I've seen as far as perceived quality of interior components. I would rather have a Centurian or Moomba for the price they cost (high 30's I believe) I think that is probably the thoughts many people will have, which will mean better resale value for those other brands

We used to have the original G3, which is now called the Revo 7.1. It was our first wakeboard boat. It's a nice boat, but takes quite a bit of ballast to make a nice wake (around 1800-2000lbs.). It also makes kind of a wide wake. Typically, everyone would ride about 5 feet shorter on their rope than what they would behind others. There is a lot of storage space and the boat handles choppy water really well.
