home-made skate with fiberglass??

i recently made my own wakeskate at home .. i used 6 plies of 1/8 inch thick birch. it is the perfect thickness but it is soo damn heavy.. i used carptenters glue int between each ply. i am going to make another one tho except use 3 plys of 1/4 inch plywood. i want to use fiberglass for this one though... my question is what do i need ... do u buy it in a can or in sheets or what.. i have never worked with it before so please help.. also i need to know where i could get it .. thanks
