I am looking for a wakeboard for my son. I am not sure what to get. There are so many to choose from. He is 12 years old, 115 pounds 5' tall. We have a 2012 X2. I went to the local pro shop and they showed me a $650.00 set up. Seemed a little pricey for someone just learning. This will be his first time wakeboarding. Anyone in Northern, Ca want to sell their old board? I am in Brentwood, CA. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks everyone.

Take a look at the closeout section on evo.com
They've got some good deals going.

I think that might be too small of a board.

I have a '10 Marius 134 my wife used to ride she is 5'3 115~120 ish. That size might work better for him and he could grow into it.

perhaps you've heard of a list on the internet prepared by a gentleman named craig? I'd speculate that there are many many used boards in the 130-135 range for sale on his list.

Louis, there are a few good shops in the bay area that will be worth checking out that should set him up right while keeping you in your budget.

Craigslist or eBay. When he outgrows the setup, just sell it to someone else.
