So for '07 my family is trading in our '04 Sky Supreme v208. Because of this, we have been looking at boats and heard many salesman bashing the other guys boat, mainly Malibu bashing MasterCraft. I'm confused, I get why they bash each other, they need to earn a living. I want to hear as many opinions as I can of those out there supporting a certain boat BUT[!!] I want to see them backed by facts. Keep It Clean, Try Not To Get Too Heated And Like I Already Said, No Fact-less Bashing. Length X2: 20 ft boat 210: 23 ft boat VLX: 21 ft boat Capacity X2: 12 People 210: 10 People VLX: 11 People Wake [Keep in Mind; Pure Opinion] X2: Smooth Transition to Strong Lip 210: Abrupt Vertical VLX: Abrupt Vertical Build X2: Very Strong Hull w/ Many Layers 210: 2 Reports Of Hull Flex VLX: Reportedly Strong and Quiet as well X2: $50,370.00 MSRP W/ 3 Year $10,000 rebate 210: $63,540.00 MSRP VLX: $54,603.00 MSRP IMO this makes me say 1. X2 2. 210 3. VLX Now I KNOW someone will object to this so let's hear it! (Message edited by hawk7 on June 24, 2007)

IMO... 1. VLX (great size, great wake, great build) 2. X2 (great build, great seating for a 21ft boat, and cool looking) 3. 210 (the new ones have horrible seating, and to see my opinion/experiences with CC see the other thread).

Good luck trying to get that rebate. The rebate has been discussed a lot, there are a lot of hoops you have to jump through in order and on time. If you don't do it then kiss that $10k goodbye. In all the rebate threads, I've never heard anyone say "Yeah, I was able to claim the $10k rebate."

I agree with SCA and I am a die-hard nautique guy... but I will stick with my 04 210 until nautique realizes their new boat is ugly and a waste. Go VLX... awesome boat for the $

More boat for the money if you are talking only those three maybe. Go for a Wakecraft definitely more bang for the buck without loosing anything in performance, features and killer warrantee. BUT! If you are only considering those three then I would go for the Bu. All will be good but nothing like getting to go check out your boat being built through all the different stages. You’re close enough to Merced to do that.

Engine work can be done by any PCM authorized. And Wakecraft has and is setting up other places as they get going (from what I understand) for me its just a few minute drive to the factory if I need anything. Nu bu its a question I havnt asked them in a while but I will be on the lake tomorrow evening with Wakecraft and I'll get an update. It definately helps to have a good place to take you boat for work. Luckly I havent had to have any extra work done. Sweet profile pic by the way nu bu.

You should be able to get the $10k on the malibu too. That "deal" is from both Ultimae Watersports and Cope/McPheters (they are the same company really) I looked at these 2 boats (not the nautique) but personally went MB B-52, so that could be another option for you to look at. The MC and VLX are very nice too, I liked the VLX stock wake better. I liked the MB stock best (for surfing) and went with that. It's so rare to get good water on Folsom surfing became more of a priority.

IMO, I would stay away from the dealers who bash other boat companies. that is not a good sign of the service to come your way later. but that is just my opinion. also, I dont think the VLX wake can be compared to the SAN wake. although, I have not ridden the 07 SAN yet, but from the earlier models, they would be considered much steeper than a VLX.

Which dealer has the best reputation for customer service? You have narrowed it down to 3 great boats, I'm partial to MC, but 99% is due to my dealer, Liquid Sports Marine, and my MC Rep, Zane Schwenk. I trust them to take care of me, and that is why I bought what I did.

I agree with Byrd our local MC dealer here Liquid Sports Marine is awesome!! Zane lives here in Winter Haven also and is always willing to help out. You can buy a boat anywhere, its how you get treated LONG AFTER the sale that matters.

Another vote for a VLX! Smooth running (I currently have an 03) it has been nothing but reliable and a smooth rampy wake. I am currently thinking about a newer one. Just a bit of a trough just before the ramp of the wake begins compared to CC or MC. Good Luck!

Oh yeah, get the X2 its only 20ft boat, but prolly has more room and storage inside than a lot of other larger boats, especially the CC's. It doesnt drive like a pig either, like some of the larger boats do, including the bigger MCs. I love the way the X2 handles very responsive and the wake with a little extra weight is very nice as well.

It's called Cash Rewards.. you get $10K back in 3 years when you buy the boat, but you need to jump through a bunch of hoops and do everything exactly right... i've never talked to anyone who got their money and that made me skeptical. I think if you do a search for cash rewards it will be the first site that comes up. You can also pay a little less for your boat not get the cash rewards.

That thing will throw a nasty wake, then you won't have any competition on the "biggest wake" threads. Probably be like chest high.

I'm Guessing $74,000, that nieghborhood? RZ2? looks like someone took an X Star, Put a wierd tige tower on it, smooshed it down, and found some star wars enthusiast to put graphics that he thought were cool on there. Is that what all us X-Star people are going to say? good guess.
