I have a 2005 Mobius XLV and in the book it says under the yearly maintenance chart to clean the transmission oil strainer screen.
------------------------------------------------------------
-Are they referring (pic-1)? Tranny cooler?
-Or is (Pic-2)something different?

Thanks,

Pic 1 is the trans oil cooler, so I would say that the manual is referring to a transmission filter screen, not the cooler. $.02

the transmission filter screen is on the transmission. Usually at the bottom of the unit. Which is not fun to get too. You need a mirror and some patients. Find the manual for you boat on the transmission and it should tell you the location. On a Malibu you remove two bolts and the cover falls off the screen is just inside. But be prepared to catch the remaining oil that is in the unit.

those tranny coolers get clogged all the time here in fla. i get at least one boat a week in that is clogged. you need to install an inline sea strainer a.s.a.p so you dont clog the cooler and burn up your impeller/motor.
