Just curious if anyone knows where I can get heavy duty velcro for my Rebel knee brace. The origional velcro is shot. Thanks

when I first got my brace I was a little worried that the velcro didnt always stay strapped, especially in the water. I went back to the ortho/brace guy and he was going to modify the straps with something heavier duty. He really didnt understand the sport, just wanted to make me happy. After some consideration, I decided not to do it, because I think at some point you want the velcro to fail. the question I asked myself was 'do you want torn tendons or fractured bones' cause something has to give somewhere.

anyways my point is, you should probally just contact the manufacturer and get the straps that are meant for your brace! There is probally a reason they came with whatthey came with.

mine came with anextra set and I will be putting them on their soon!

I understand that about the origional straps. The problem is my main strap wont hold anymore which leads to knee brace on the shin... I will try to get the replacement straps from the dealer. Thanks

Gordon,
If you were to ask me I would rather break a bone. Bones heal a lot better and way faster.

No problem Luke

that maybe true depending on the type and location of the break.

in any case my point was that a lot of engineering, design, and development went into these braces. there may be a good reason they dont come with industrial velcro!
