I don't think that's so unusual. Since we traded in our I/O for a VLX, my husband has been trying to figure out how he can attach the downrigger mounts!

If I saw this in person would be completely ok with it and gladly smile and wave at them and yell out a big "THANK YOU". Less waves for me. If this was somebody on my boat that even brought up the idea, that's a different story.

sometimes the kids gotta fish

What is the problem? When I take my kids out for some boarding and tubing, we will bring lunch or dinner out and I usually bring a fishing pole for the kids. During idle time, the kids love fishing and we catch fish every once in a while. Is there some law that you have to be so hardcore every time you are in the boat?

not a law but something like that...
kidding

Hey, at least they're wearing flotation!

No fishing on the boat, but I'd be more than happy to drop you off at the shore. Fish smell sticks in the carpet too well.

I would just rather hang out with tunes and refreshments

Catch and release...no fish smell. Man, you guys are tough!

There was a Mastercraft on the Columbia River last year that had an electric trolling motor clamped to the swim platform...Didn't see if they had a livewell.
Kevin ...What's an off season?

I've been thinking about putting up a camo netting cover over the tower of my boat that goes the length of the boat. Then put the shotguns up in the board racks. How'd that be for a duck blind! yeah baby!

I have seen a 21V Tigé with a trolling motor mounted on the bow. The guys didnt have any type of watersports gear either. To each its own I guess.

Pierce, I remember seeing that guy with the trolling motor on his Tige this past summer on Lake Lewisville;....different....

Ok, that would be a little "overboard." No pun intended. C'mon guys, just a little rod out the back of the boat with a cold beer and some good tunes playing when you are just chillin with the family. Where is the harm in that!!

Levi,
Here is my ski/hunting boat. There is a 21' inboard under there somewhere...
The tower works well for holding up 1300#'s of marsh grass...

Swass...
Ya, snow, 17 degrees and shrinkage factor of 10.

Don,
It was quite a site, firt time I have seen that.

I wouldnt mind chilling out with some fishing after a hard day of riding. When you ride with one or maybe two(on a good day) other people you get beat down pretty quick.

Old     (kstateskier)      Join Date: May 2002       01-12-2004, 3:37 PM Reply
The bimini on that Illusion X doesn't look like it keeps the snow out very well!!
