Guy's riders weekend at Bullard's Bar Reservoir

I just got back from an incredible weekend at Bullard’s Bar Reservoir in Northern California (www.bullardsbar.com). We had about 20 guys from the Sacramento area, most of which were from my riding crew and a few more from our extended crew of DRA and CIE . We had a few CWB Faction Team riders, a few Norcal Hyperlite Team riders, a few Off-Aixs Board Shop Team Riders and a whole bunch of guys who just love the sport and represent it the right way.

Before we start posting all the pics, stories, etc, I just wanted to say thank you to the people at Emerald Cove Marina. The houseboat we had was killer and their support of our local Sacramento riders was incredible. Billy at the marina is the guy you want to talk to book an epic vacation, in a top of the line houseboat, on an amazing lake. They have a few different model boats in every price range and even a timeshare houseboat… which I am thinking about joining!

The whole point of this weekend was to get together a bunch of riders who all know each other but don’t often get the chance to ride together. I decided to see if we could pull this off, and with help from my close friends Shon G (Off-Axis Board Shop owner) and Jarrod Corby, we did with incredible success. I recommend riding crews everywhere plan a trip like this. It builds and strengthens friendship through our passion of riding. We had guys from all ages and all walks of life coming together to ride, party and ride some more. Awesome weekend…

dang, i almost took my boat out to bullards on sunday, didn't know you guys were going. Would have been sick to see some good riders. Bet you got some epic water.

Just got home an hour ago. Exhausted!

Thanks to Mark, Corby, and Shon for organizing the trip, and to Emerald Bay for the sick boat, and killer service. I've done at least 10 houseboat trips since I started wakeboarding, and my favorite is still Bullards Bar by far. I've been on Emerald Bay boats 3 times now.

Mission accomplished. I made new friends, got to know some of you better, and just had a killer time.

I know we had at least 4-5 people shooting pics. I'll start going through mine right now.

Riley busted ass harder than anyone. I have a new appreciation for the photogs out there on the tubes, freezing, falling off, swimming around, just to get the shots.

Right now I'm sitting here watching Jackass 2 and I can't help but see some resemblance to some of the stories.

Huge thanks to you, Mark for putting it all together. The only bummer was that we didn't get to go for longer. There was some serious deliberation going on today when it came time to head out. The stay or go home vote was a close one, but apparently reason and jobs won out to good times. Oh well.

Great meeting everyone new. There were a lot of guys there that I finally got to put a face with a wakeworld screen name. That was pretty cool, as were the antics on saturday afternoon. Allowing all of us to hang out together shouldn't be legal, but I know there are some great photos that came out of it.

Riley... Killer job, bro. You've got a ton of creativity to get different shots. Plus you've got Shon's wifes name tatoo'd on your chest, so you're definitely alright by me. Ha, ha, ha.

Kyle, a surf set almost happenend once. It was midnight and Riley had some shots he needed to get. In the end it got aborted. LOL!!!

Looks like a good trip. And looks like there is still enough water for some late season camping trips also.

Yea what a great trip. I don't think I have ever had more fun on a houseboat trip. Absolutely amazing and thanks to everyone on the trip for working together and making it as good as it was. Huge thanks to mark for having me

it was great meeting everyone, sorry i had to bail last night had to get my moto on today. i heard the possibility of staying another night and was ready to turn my s--t around and head right back up.

Here are some of my favorite moments of the weekend;

1. laughing so hard when CM was poking fun at Corby's "work Out" routine that my head and gut hurt and eyes were tearing for what seemed like forever

2. chase boat driving watching Brodie and Al cross ropes, then both at same time cross back and go huge.

3. seeing Brian's HS5 to switch HS5

4. seeing Josh do TS BS 1, backroll and HS3 after blowing up both knees, one last summer and the other the summer before that.

5. seeing Brett do everything right on his HS5 but ride it away and Brian M do the same on his scarecrow.

6. me doing some serious good work on HS BS 1... maybe I'll land it w2w soon!

7. me taking my first tube shooting session... that was freaky...thought I would be the first to crash into Riley.

8. Corby's wake for the tube sesh... it was insane... the biggest wake I have ever hit... a straight up elevator shot!

9. Norton's dirty dirty grabs on his TS3 all going down in HD.

10. waking up Sunday morning to "That baby don't look like me" !

Nice! That houseboat dock start above looks nuts! How did that go?

That's Jason Callen, he tried it about 5 times. Couldn't ride out of it. He tried like hell.

I think if i hit those steroids before that acid drop from the houseboat I may have been able to pull it off. Maybe a gym membership to strengthen my arms before the next trip

Belly Flop!

Great time everyone, I had a blast. Now on my way to Hawaii. I will have a drink on the beach for everyone that is at work. HAHA.

What a weekend!! I want to give a HUGE thanks to Bullards Bar & Emerald Cove Marina!! Without their support we couldn't have pulled this one off. If you haven't had a chance check them out for you next house boat trip. The lake is one of the best Cali has to offer.

Also want to give a BIG thanks Riley Bangerter! The shots are looking killer Bro!!

What a Great weekend! I think we all decided to call this trip the "Annual Weiner Weekend" Cant wait for next year!

HOLLY ••••••• just remembered the CWB secret testing that happened on Saturday. Allen was testing out top secret new boots for the Navy Seals and I think they are a success If J-Rod can get the Video up it is AWESOME. Just watched it on your FB.

Jarrod i own a 05 X-2 and she is still a sexy 205 to me love your boat it just oozes class but Riley's right any wake boat slumped is a sexy sight

I will say I do think Show Me (Corby's X-2) wins the biggest wake award for the weekend on the first night tube set. 3400+ lbs of ballast and lead and 5 or 6 guys plus pulling me and a rider that thing was SLUMPED!

Note while i was shooting behind the bonecrusher i was paying more attention to photos! So I could be wrong

I cant even begin to explain how much fun we had. The best group of guys to all get together for a trip. I wanna go back asap.

How was your first day on the job after that weekend?

I can't stop laughing after watching Allen's product testing. Looks likes you guys had a great time. What a way to end the summer.
