Dude, first you need a roam/flex board and then cut out on a heel edge open up for a butter slide then just transfer your weight to the tail locking your front leg can help if not both leg eventually from their its balance and control. i hope i helped that is one of my favorite parts to and i try to do that slide every time i ride my roam. i think he does it so good, so long, and such good form is because he is doing it behind a PWC behind the tower handle control will come into play because the tower wants to pull you up but if you want it to look like murray's lower the rope to a lower spot

definitely finless, and a board with high flex tip/tail, unfortunately the the roam is the only board with flex needed for the slide. You can try it with your current board but don't expect the same distance. If you can find a big stretch of glass, this may help you take it a little further. Its very fun to do, even if its 1/100 the distance that Murray can do it.
