Wow. Very impressive! She looks so small compared to the wake, but she stomps everything super clean.

pretty cool. look out dallas and others. however i dont mean to be negative but a back mobe off the kicker on a cable is nowhere near as hard as it is off the wake. the post should have read "11 year old girl does backmobe off kicker"

the riders just get younger and younger. kind of crazy. soon enough wakeboarding will have 8 year old pro's.

Yeah, told her coach yesterday, none of the girls are gonna take any notice of her until she is kicking all their A$$ES next year and then it is too late. Lol. Female version of Phillip.Next really big thing??

That's it....I F-ing quit!!

Truely impressive. She could make a pass on the pro tour right now. Probably not a winning pass, but she could ride the event. If Ronix is smart, they will hold on to her.

True, but still some darn good riding. And very impressive for an 11 yr old.

You shouldn't quit. You should embrace mediocrity.

The rope tension off that kicker is more than the wake...that is insane she stuck that

I don't think I can agree with that one buddy

"that is insane she stuck that"

but I do agree with that

Thanks for sharing! Absolutely awesome riding - She’s 11...landing a mobe off anything is sick...end of story.

There are kids the same age over here in Europe booting 9's and 10's off 15+ meter kickers in snowboarding. I think it’s totally awesome that these types’ sports are progressing so fast.

wow she is something else. She rides super big and clean. Man i need to sack up more when i ride, she is inspiring!!!

I look forward to watching her progress and get older.
Old     (westsidarider)      Join Date: Feb 2003       07-18-2008, 1:35 PM Reply
dont get me wrong, she deffinately rips. next year she will be walking, not even running, cirlces around me and ill be there with the rest of you giving up and quitting the sport. i was just pointing out that a kicker at a cable park is almost as easy as jumping on a trampoline
Old     (hawkeye7708)      Join Date: Feb 2007       07-18-2008, 1:37 PM Reply
That was crazy... no doubt. The next generation of wakeboard women right there.
Old     (lfxstar)      Join Date: Jul 2001       07-18-2008, 2:23 PM Reply
J-Rod, that specific kicker is SUPER STEEP so the rope tension on it is wild
Old     (fly135)      Join Date: Jun 2004       07-18-2008, 2:28 PM Reply
kyle, I agree with jarrod. I can throw scarecrows all day long off of it with ease. It's much easier than a boat wake.
Old     (eubanks01)      Join Date: Jun 2001       07-18-2008, 2:33 PM Reply
She does rip and it helps to get personalized tramp training! Nice riding for sure.

I really dont understand the whole "i Quit" comments other then you guys are probably joking. I mean, sure she is talented, but look at the water and she has the "opportunity" that 90% of the population doesnt have to be able to ride everyday and have great coaching.
Not taking anything away from her or anyone else but EVERYONES riding would be 1000 times better if they could ride everyday and have conditions like that.
Personally I ride for myself and really dont care what others can do, its what I can do and am willing to do.

Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       07-18-2008, 3:25 PM Reply
we were joking Johnny.

Not everyone's riding would be 1000 times better. There is such a thing as natural ability, ambition, and guts! I know 10 year old boys that won't even get out behind the boat because they are wimps. She's 11 dood!

Line tension is all about your cut. Cut in late (and hard) to the kicker, and you'll accelerate past the speed of the cable....no line tension. Also, with the cable, you don't have to worry so much about getting pop. You won't get punished as hard for bad timing. That's why you see guys spinning the first 180 of their 1080, or 900, before they leave the kicker. That never works on the wake.
Old     (lfxstar)      Join Date: Jul 2001       07-18-2008, 4:21 PM Reply
J-Rod, i must say i have been riding cable since odub first opened, must be 10 years, AND I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT. I am not joking, that is probably the greatest piece of information I have ever heard on these boards accelerating faster than the speed of the cable. You are my yoda lol.

In a few more years there will be no protour men or women's wakeboarders who were not raised on a lake/cable park and coached the entire time. Look at gymnastics, figure skating, motocross etc. you can just see that's what it's going to take. It's just the way things are when a sport becomes more mainstream.

i think we need to start another thread in congruence, "I quit, hanging up the board" thread
or... why don't we just uh, make wake benches instead.

Props to a girl that has the guts to try all that! And at 11...she's gonna be amazing!!!

Her size to board ratio reminds me of watching footage of randy harris back when he was ~14 ish on the big blue byerly model board.

Just funny to watch. she kills it. hopefully she develops some personal style though.. watching some vids and being around certain riders would probably help her out.
