Anyone out there surf behind a 22V? How do you weight yours? And how is your speed?

Weight it until it has a major lean on either side you are surfing. Such as 700-900 in the back corner by the engine sume people on the mid area and some weight up front (300-400).

In my 01 23V we went 13.5. I just recently went out on an 05 24V and we were at 11.5.

I have a 20v but the weighting is similar. I run about 800# in the left rear locker and anywhere from 0 to 300# up front. It all depends on how many people are in the boat. TAPS at 8 and speed about 10mph. Play with the speed until you get the perfect shape/size, even .25mph makes a difference. We have surfed from 8.5 to 11mph behind my Tige, but it's usually 9.5 to 10mph.

My experience is the same as the others- get some serious weight in the back corner (400-600#) and include some in the front (200-400#). That gives me a pretty good wake at about 10.5 mph and with TAPS around 6.
Last week I added another 300# bag on the side on top of the seat and with a little tweaking we had a picture perfect nearly waist high wake, clean with a curl.

in my 21v we have 900 in back compartment and then a 500lb sac on the floor pushed over to that side of the boat and 300 upfront... unlike everyone else, i leave my taps down around 1-2 because it will break farther back yet with this much weight plus friends in the boat its already waist high, taps just makes it mush over very close to the boat
