I have an 04' Liquid Force Skimskate. Has the gray foam deck pad on it, well, it used to....

It came off the other day. I removed all the old adhesive from the board, cleaned it really well. Cleaned the bottom of foam pad the best I could as well.

Picked up some 3M spray adhesive from Home Depot. Stuff that is used for headliners etc.

Before I try that stuff - anyone done this that can think of why I shouldn't use this stuff?

Many years ago I used to help build stomp pads for sailboards. The glue of choice for us was Barg Cement. Held the stomp pads to the boards for ever (I still have an 18-yr-old board with the same pads and I never had to re-glue this whole time). The 3M you are getting form Home Depot may not be the high temp stuff. If it isn't, it may soften and loose tackiness when it gets hot (sunlight). I used 3M (not the high temp stuff, mind you) for a convertible headliner and the headliner dropped the first time sun hit the car. Doubt your board will ever get as hot as teh interior of a car, but why risk it. Good luck.

I've used Goop and never had any problems... it was a little messy but it's stuck for a couple of years now.
