Hey San Diego,

I'm heading down to San Diego this Friday afternoon, and I'll be down there for a week. I'm gonna drive down, and I'm bringing my surfboard, wakeskate, & wakeboard. So if anyone wants to hit some surf, needs a third, or even wants to grab a beer or two let me know.

Jeff, I was planning to try to put a group together, including Gramps. Our schedules are all jacked up these days but I'll see what I can do.

Don't forget when you need a third I have a very flexible schedule.

Paul, Brian,

I'm gonna start driving down right after my doctors appointment around 1:00pm on Friday so I should arrive late that night. I have all of Saturday off, and don't have to be at work until 11:00 am on Sunday. I'll be working at the San Diego convention center setting up some servers for Sun & Oracle. Then, for the rest of the week I'm pretty much free unless something drastic happens and the servers need fixing. I'll probably start driving back to San Jose Thursday around 3pm. because I have a physical therapy appt on my knee Friday morning.

Surfing sounds like fun. Should I bring my spring suit or full suit this time of year.

TeamValdez, Sounds like fun, but I'll be back in San Jose by then.

Water temp has been around 70 mostly, although it seems to fluctuate pretty drastically from low to mid 60s up to about 72 or 74. So, in short, a spring suit should do the trick unless you are particularly susceptible to being cold in the water.

Let me know when you are surfing, eating or drinking. I'm a willing participant in all of those activities. Rene, Paul is right about the water temp. No wetsuit needed at all yesterday afternoon. Also Rene, we try to surf as many mornings as possible if you don't mind waking up early.

I'm actually wakeskate for the first time since knee surgery on Saturday morning. However, I do not think we have plans on Sunday morning. Also, get in touch with me if you want to go out to some good, local spots for food/drinks.

Jason, the knee seems to be doing well. I'm going to test it a bit this weekend. However, I've been surfing for months now. I've also been doing way too much house work and it has not bothered me at all (lots of heavy lifting). How is your leg? How is the married life?

Alee, This is nothing. Before the dot-com bust I was never home. In 2000 I was a guest at a Marriott for 207 days, and built up 179,000 miles on United. I won the pool at work for most traveled.

Too bad I didn't know about this site back then. I only found about Wakeworld one year and one day ago.
