Is it bad when you have too much weight on one side that the prop comes out of the water every now and then?

As long as your intake is not consistently riding out of the water!

...I must say, if you're so heavily weighted that the props popping out, WHY ISN'T THAT WAVE BIGGER?!

Are you referring to cavitation or slippage, possibly? I can't imagine the prop was actually out of the water. I hear experts indicating that excessive cavitation can cause problems to the prop:

It would basically sound as if the prop was skipping every now and then. And I dunno about the wave size, I dont think we could have any more weight on the one side of the boat because the water was coming over the rub rail.

Well, it's not that big. If you get off of that Light beer it may help. Are you in Portland? It looks like a spot down town. I loved that Willamette, nice and clean.

Great looking wake!! That does look like Portland - I just started wake surfing last summer and spend quite a bit of time down on the Mult. channel surfing - would like to find a few folks to surf with and kick a few pointers around. Just picked up a new (2001) Super Air and have added a 520# to the auto ballast system. Hoping the weather changes one of these weekends.

Curtis-when are you going to bring down that 38' X-Navy and teach us chumps how to surf?

Don-it is the Willamette. Come to Ross Island and kick it with us. Diggs is great at the pointers. Make sure you check with someone about the underwater obsticles first....

Bryan, I'm a bit teary eyed as the boat is STILL under construction. I'll keep you posted on the maiden voyage from her re-birth. Hood River isn't far from P-town, and her wake is worth the drive.

If you're offering, I'm sure a few of us would love to check it out. Yeah keep me posted. What's wrong with it?

Bryan, It's getting revamped: new electrical, hot tub, internal ballast system (hoping ~600gal)and so on. I'll let you know.
