I thought this was kind of interesting. On our way to Brostock at Lake Powell, a buddy of mine had a giant bottle of Absolut to bring along. He threw it into the side pocket in the bow of my boat. Now I know there was nothing wrong with the carpet in my boat prior to this because I had just cleaned it. However, when we got to Powell and I removed the bottle, there were several small dots of melted carpet underneath where the bottle was. As best as I can figure, the clear bottle acted sort of like a magnifying glass and anytime we stopped with the sun shining on it, it would focus the heat enough to melt the carpet!! Strange but true wakeboarding stories!

Yep, I've had that happen.

Another thing to watch out for are those magnifying mirrors the ladies like to bring along. I had a reflection off one of those focus down onto the boat.....
